Hello from Australia.

I have had a bit of an over heating issue with my Holden / Opel Combo Van as the fans do not kick in.

I have already replaced the Coolant Temperature Sensor , I have replaced Engine Coolant Fan Temperature Switch ( 3 pin not the 2 pin) and to avoid over heating I have wired a seperate switch in the cabin that connects to the fan.

I manually turn on the fan onces the car temperature reaches past 95'c so I know the fan is definitely not at fault nor the thermostate or water pump.

Does anyone have any suggestions on why the fan won't auto kick in or even troubleshooting tips? Any feedback will be greatful.

Have you wired your manual fan switch in parallel/across the temp switch?

Thanks for the reply but I wired the fan switch directly to power and the fan itself.
It is only temporally until I figure out the overheating issue .

When I tested the system after installing the new sensor and switch my manual switch was completely removed out of the circuit.

There must be a fault with the wiring. I think the switch pulls the fan pin to ground so perhaps there is a faulty earth on one side of the temp switch?
Check the switched live supply too.

As what Meritlover said, id check the wiring, especially ground side... get it to temp and ensure you are getting power to the fan from the switch then check for continuity between the other side of the connector and a good ground with a meter

Cheers!Maybe your gauge/temp sensor is wrong?
If its boiling up, is the expansion bottle cap ok?
