View Full Version : Grey vinyl bottoms help possible paint match...

Hi I have a 90 sr in laser blue and it's going for painting in a few weeks however I've been all over to various graphic shops etc and they can not match the original vinyl colour that was on the lower half.. has anyone painted there's on and managed to find a good match slightly textured too ? I don't want it light grey and I don't want it black I want it in between .

Some have it painted on rather than vinyl. Any decent body shop should be able to match it.

I have my SR painted, took a sample to the paint supplier, they added some matting agent to dull the gloss finish ;)

I got some vinyl from a place called ASAP signs in Wrexham. Had loads of shades to choose from. I managed to get the exact shade I needed for the sill vinyls on my sport. They cut it to size also and were very helpful.

Cheers guys don't suppose you got any pics of yours by any chance ? Thanks sam Thanks to photobucket I haven't any to hand, finish was a little glossy, but prefer it to vinyl where stone chips allow water to get under it and cause rust

Thanks for the pic mate. Think I'm going to definitely paint it instead of vinyl.

Your not far from me mate . I'm in Huddersfield id love to call over to next meet just to see some novas and have a chat even if mine isn't complete . I'm hoping to have it done by next month.

Nice .. that laser just like mine. :)when's the next meet there's a few of us around Huddersfield with novas most are still on going projects but will get there
