View Full Version : Nova gte starter wiring

Which way round do the wires go on the starter. Car is a 1.2 merit with a 1.6 gte in. Got big red and small black/red. There are 3 poles on the starter motor. Any pics would be good. :thumb:

Big red onto the top post on the solenoid and the small black/red onto the spade/post on the right of the larger post (as you look at the back of it)

Right wires up as said and nothing is happening turn key and wont crank. Think starter is kerput. Would the 1.2 starter fit the 1.6?

Sorted now cranks over fine wont start. Checked everything. Think I have a air lock in the fuel system as pulled pipes off and cranked no fuel came out.

Does the rail have a valve like the xe's?

Been out just still the same cranking over fine wont fire up?? Pulled injectors off and noticed one if the pintle caps has gone in the manifold somewhere great. Will this damage anything? Pissed off ain't the word !! Any help ?

Fuel pump now sounding knackered struggling to pump the fuel when cranking. Sounds like I need a new pump .
