Few other jobs I've been doing. I've fitted the 256's and luckily they clear the 14" comps th's . Yeh I know lol just slapped one one as a mock up to see if they would clear.

Have you been in my garage... lol. My servo is looking very similar!
I'm just struggling to find the 286mm 4 stud discs then my brake setup goes on after Retro Rides. Once brakes are done, I think I'll have to strip the engine and gearbox and tidy them up!

Been a few months since i updated this thread. I've been doing bits got engine running nice now the afm Flap was jammed open as the spring inside had seized up, sorted that and idles nice now. Gaz coilover kit fitted and th's on now. The n/s rear arch is touching so will have to sort that m:mad: will post some pics as soon as I get chance.
My sr clocks are knackered so need to find another set seem to be hens teeth lol.

What's knackered on them? Can you make a good one from the new one and your original one?
Had to do that with my 2, the rev counter on the one I bought was fecked, so took the one for my 4 dials out and fitted it in my 6.

When you say pcb, is that the copper track bit?
I would have thought the tracks would be the same for 4 or 6 just the extra dials, you still have lights on a 4 dial for oil and battery so there is a connection there.

I stripped the boot and got it in 2k primer sorry no prep pics. Also wasn't happy with the off side quarter found a few dents on it so skimmed that up. Also tried to take door off but pins won't budge. Some pics of her with new alloys on.

Finally managed to wrestle out the door pins which means I could get the door off at last for repair.
So put my spare on for now until I can get this sorted. Small steps but getting there slowly. Looking good mate . Wish my nova was white. . I looked for over a year for a decent white one but nothing so ended up with laser blue.
My first was white many years ago .

Nice weekend so cracked on! Quarter in 2k primer so that's done finally.
Also as want to keep original front wings the o/s one had a dodgy repair I tried to repair it but metal had been stretched so bad under the filler. It flexed badly. So only one thing for it I cut the offending bit out.
Ian now gonna cut the copy wing up and tack it in smooth it and skim it up. That's the plan anyways. Update got gte front roll bar painted and fitted today with new powerflex bushes. Not much but progress. Few pics here.

Cracked on yesterday with it being nice 1st job was sorting door out. Cut rot out of corner made a little plate and tacked it in. Ground it down and gave it a skim of fibrefill then a skim of filler. Rubbed down then a few coats of primer sorted. Got door back on and fitted the tinted sr glass I had off my sr I broke. Looks so much better.
Then once that sorted I fitted the side skirt on the drivers side. Then fitted decals to the th's so got a bit sorted. I've been busy sorting odd jobs on the nova. Spun it round to get other side primer and sealed up. I've been setting up gaps on the wings aswell. I've been struggling to get the n/s wing gapped up right. I've noticed this is due to the fact the door hinges have been cut off at some point before I got the car and welded in the wrong position. So I now need a front pillar so I cut the old one out and weld in new to sort the gap out on the door. Here is said pic of the dodgy hinges. After more digging out filler on the pillar it looks like the door has been hit bending the pillar area making the door fit bad. So here are some pics. Anyone scrapping a shell they could cut the area out for me ? Been busy drilling spot welds out. Quite a few I must say. Flitch panel removed. Then came cutting the pillar out.
Inner sill is minty fresh behind as is the rest so all good. On with the repair pillar next weekend also need some gas to weld it on. Update. Need some help on this. I've found a other pillar which I have welded in but the problem is the door gap is exactly the same as before. Iam at a loss to what is causing this! Any one shed some light on it. Here is a pic. It's tight at the top and wide as it meets the lower point of the pillar. Update got new pillar welded in and skimmed up. Got gaps a lot better aswell not 100 per cent but happy now. Next up weld up the flitch panel and finish 2k priming and fit new screen as cracked the hell out of the other one. Small progress today wings gapped up not 100 per cent but will do for now will sort when painted next year. Also got sr bumper prepped and primed. Fitted this least looking more like a car again now lol. Few pics. Little update got a new old stock genuine e16se cambelt cover for £12 so well chuffed as rare to find now.

All left to do now is adjust coilovers and sort exhaust blow. Then mot and go from there more like that will happen after Xmas . Then I need to find somewhere I can paint it.

One thing I carnt get right is the door gap on the nearside. I have put a new post in the car as the original one was bent where the hinges were. With that done I thought it would be sorted but no still the same. I carnt see any other damage to what the cause is ! Have you checked around where the bottom arms attach to the body for any damage?
It is strange...What's the bonnet lines like?

Been on the look out for a early tailgate for ages and this came up 10 miles away so snapped it up. Needs a little work but it's solid. Also need to get a key cut as no key for it. Few things ive done first was to weld up the wiper hole on the early boot I got hold of. And decided to paint the grill Matt black with the rest of the kit. Just need to get a new key for the boot as it didn't come with one. Long due update with this being my daily car it's hard to get it all painted in one hit so I've been at it in stages. I got the near side painted last week on the drive. I've done it in 2k.
Few more pics built up ready to do off side next week hope fully. Be glad when it's done.

Finally progress. Got the off side stripped and ready for paint. With the weather on the up got the side painted today with the door and wing. Some pics. Will get the other pics sorted tomorrow as forgot to take them lol .. Been thinking of a new colour for the bumpers and grill ect. Went to halfrauds and had a browse through the paint and settled on peugeot graphite grey. Done the grill 1st as a test. I like it so gonna get some mixed up. Here's a pic. Also a pic of the side I painted last week. Been busy on this past few weeks fitted rear window surrounds and front trims painted in graphite grey. Also fitted the clear repeaters and new rear lights. Then today got my early spec tailgate on with custom vinyl and decals on along with the sr spoiler. I know it aint a genuine gte and didnt want a rep either so hence i wanted something a little different. Some pics of work. Graphite and White works.. really well. Love mine in that combo, but I'm glad we have slightly different touches, like your bumpers being full graphite, mine just being the bottom section.
Good work on getting that level of finish from spraying outside.
Now, go enjoy it again.

Not done much other than drive the nova lately. Did treat her to a new jr cone filter sounds better than the other I had. Gave the interior a clean today and gonna give her a wash later. Not done much to the nova for a while so with being in isolation and weather being ok thought would get on with painting skirts and will be doing the bumpers grey instead of black aswell . So whipped off the o side skirt and cracked on prepping it. Some pics of the prep had a few deep scratches so stoppered them. Rear fin was rubbed back and primed. Since its lockdown and the weather is mint I decided to get all the wheels off today and scrub inner arches and floor so I can get busy with the waxoyl! Pleased to say all is very good underneath and inner arches with no rust. Also cleaned the wheels inside and out and waxed up.
1st offside rear wire brushed and waxoyled.
Chassis leg cleaned and waxoyled along with the rear floor ect.
Then did the rest of the car/wheels. Pics :

As it's been cracking weather I ve been out detailing the nova. I've give her a 3 stage polish today followed by a ceramic coating. Also swapped the boot over to a gte one. Just got to paint bumpers white now and grill. Iam busy building a c20ne turbo now for this something I always wanted to do I know it's cheaper to buy a let but want to do it and I know a lot get started but not finished. It's a project that will take time and money so will be slow. Spec will be

Thats looking spot on pal. Can you not ise the z20 head gasket and drill the rivets out same as they do with the c20let.
Only 1 issue i can see pal is the return into the sump could do with being further up i weld mine on so its practicaly touching the flange to stop oil backing up in there. Great work

Been a while since I updated this I've been busy on the car painted wheels white and made a set of stubby mirrors plus made a single wiper for it. Need to get her out somewhere nice to get some decent pics soon instead of my drive haha. Cut out 45mm from mirrors and plastic welded back. They took a while to get right shaping up ect Glass was a bastid to get right it's not 100 percent but will do. Got my stubby mirrors on today took all of 20 seconds haha.. not much else to report other than I ain't using the nova hardly due to not working and health issues pretty depressing it sitting there to be honest but will get out and use her hopefully this week. Also been collecting parts for top end of c20ne got gm head gasket bolts and this week will get head sent off for check. Long due update. Crossmember needs swapping done the usual started to go round the tie bar mounts. So got one from local motorspares shop and to say its poor quality is a understatement! So made some plates and welded them on and braced it where I could to reinforce it. So gonna crack on tomorrow and remove the old one. Will update as I go along.
