In the ideal world you want any sound wires ( speaker cable, RCA's etc) going down the opposite side to the power wires as these can cause interfernce.
Chris
mail me and i'll give you a basic setup.
Power wires down one side of car, RCA cable down the other or ypu'll probably get interference (RCA cables are the phono ones, they normally have red and white plugs on each end).
Connect RCA from back of stereo to amp, connect constant +12v to amp from battery if possible but make sure it's fused near battery, connect switched+12v from remote lead on back of stereo, earth amp to a good point some where near to where the amp will be mounted.
For best results use the same gauge wire for the +12v and earth if possible.
If amp is gonna be bridged and running just the sub then connect it so the + comes from one channel and the - from another (Should be marked on the amp as to which connections to use).
If there is a hp/lp/off switch on the amp then switch it to lp (low pass so only low tones go to the sub), adjust gains to suit.
Easy as that.

right when i get it all wired up how do i set up the sub wiv me stereo etc?
Errr once it's all wired up then it is all set up with your stereo.
Explain the question a bit more and I'll try and help.

i could be wrong but is it something like you have to change all the bass settings and equalizers on the stereo or something like that?
Yeah but that's up to you and how you like your music, it'll tell you in the instructions of your stereo how to adjust bass etc etc.
If the amp has the LP/HP/OFF switch on that I mentioned, aslong as it's set to LP then that will ensure that the sub only gets the low bassy tones and nothing else - kind of like a basic crossover, and they'll probably be a
frequency adjustment so you can adjust the LP cut off point.

Power cables down drivers side (Red power from battery and blue remote from back of stereo), phono cables (RCA's) down passenger side, speaker cable to go from amp to sub will be in the boot (Might be worth buying a meter or 2 of oxygen free speaker cable for the amp to sub connection).
Wiring the sub will be easy, let me know what the connectors for the speakers look like on the side and also what switches it has and I'll tell you how to wire it and set it up.
