So i bought this corsa about 2 years back as a first car for my brother, it continued to sit for about another year and a half till i decided to re commission it after having my grey nova written off and selling my caddy. in total the car had been sitting for 8 years till i actually began to re commission it. (you'll notice the photo quality change to when i got a new camera half way though)

I slapped a new battery on it and it spun over but didn't fire, a quick check of the valve on the fuel rail revealed no pressure, i tested the loom to the pump and there was power so it looked like it needed a pump. i removed the old one and the amount of rust inside the tank was something else, here is the pump. the smell f the fuel in there was really odd and the smell got stuck in your clothes for ages.

I mopped her over and fitted my grey novas old 3 spokes as she was running the worlds most horrific steels and wheel trims. i heat gunned the bumpers too

Once i got her running i changed all the fluids (even gear oil) and dailyed her for a while before the modding bug caught up with me and i had to do something to it. I lowered her 60mm front and 80mm at the back, fitted calibra fronts and rears and swede door cards.

Shortly after the above photo was taken i left work as normal and when i got home i went to head back out having left the car sitting for about 5 mins and it wouldn't start, there where no suspect noises clicks or bangs. I checked the power to the starter and it was there so i whipped it out and this is what i found

And disaster! got stuck about 10 miles from home when the rear water pump/rail hose burst (was robbed off an engine with a cracked block so had been oil contaminated witch had made it soft)

rear hose fixed i decided to step up my braking game on the rear, calibra bias valves added and corsa c sri rear axle

Lost the magnex in favour of a better looking and quieter stainless 2.5" system. witch managed to make its own cut out in the bumper lol

All was going wheel and while out one night running the engine in i had a cv joint noise come from the drivers wheel, i decided if i took it easy i'd make it home... i was wrong. i was stuck on the A2 at half 11 and by the time my mate got out of bed and missed the exit once it was about 1

the next day i stripped it down and found the cause of the noise, i was very lucky the wheel didn't come off on me! i reckon the cv was too tight and once that sheared i got the cv noise then the hub finally gave up hence the loud noise that prompted me to pull over.

I did think about that, maybe some nova gte trims. That's right man wheel could have come off!!

Right so not updated in a long while...

I'm taking this to nurburgring this year and may possibly sell after to fund the fiesta and nova and cut down on cars a in one hit.

But here's what I've been up to..

The car runs a corsa corsa c 1.8 axle with the discs ect so I got myself a white line rear anti roll bar for it and it's tightened the rear of the right car up, I've got it set on its stiffer setting and its perfect. I had a little trouble with the links catching the body but a bit of massaging with a hammer and a raise in the ride hight cured that.

Had issues with the heater being really weak and found a nice 19 year old gm cabin filter at the root cause lol

Had a few dents in the passanger wing so located a genuine gm wing to replace it with, I've not got it on yet but hopfully won't give too much greif

Changed the door check straps as they clicked like mad, surprisingly hard to find stuff like this for these cars, I keep forgetting how old it is haha

Fitted my ns2r's and it was tight... didn't rub if you can believe it but I knew It was too low for a track

Got some ds2500 for the corsa gsi calipers on the front, and some motul 660 brake fluid to give me maximum droppings when I hit the pussy pedal

Got a new flexi welded in by a good mate and powerflow dealer as mine had seen much better days

So the biggest upgrade was my quaife atb lsd, has transformed cornering in this car completely, so pleased with it. And also hab e a working speedo now as the old diff had no gear on it witch is slightly worrying.

Pulled the eBay special suspension off in favour of some gaz gha coilovers, could do with higher poundage springs but between getting my mates cars ready for ring this month I don't think I'll have the spare time to change them over. It does sit slightly higher now with them, had to raise the back slightly since the photo but much nicer to drive now
