Hi all,

Has been a long time since I posted here when I began my adventure of building a Nova GTE C20LET.

The last few years I haven't been in a position to advance at all and to top it, I have recently broken my back, so building myself is out of the question. lol

I am now looking for the most efficient best quality and cheapest way to get this finished. Here is my original thread listing most of the specs,

http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?206181-Mk1-GTE-C20let-First-ever-build-Serious-help-required-)&highlight=

A few things will be different, but it gives an understanding of where I am with components etc. I have a rolling shell, a spare XE engine which can be salvaged for bolts and an F28 and F20 gearboxes.

Basically can anyone provide me a recommendation of somewhere that can do all the hard work for me :thumb:

Thanks!

There was an XE specialist in Chesterfield called O'Dare Performance who seemed to know his stuff. He may be able to help with the engine build.

Best quality and cheapest? They don't usually sit well together...

Just meaning I've rang a few engine builders who quote 3k plus, but they reckon they rebuild Ferrari etc.. Just wanted to know the xe/let specialists and get a number from them.

All depends what extent you want to go to on the build .
Just gaskets and bolts and chuck it together?

Or a full rebuild / pistons and rods' hone 'valves ' skimming etc etc ?

But even for gaskets bolts and throw it together id expect to be paying around £1000 .

Full refresh with components
Id expect to start at around £3500

Try Vinny and the Mansfield Engine Centre

Apologies for the late reply, I have been away with work.
I currently have all the main engine components, everything has been machined etc.
Just need the final measurement's taken just to be safe and the engine put together.
Engine bay needs welding and F28 mount welded in, then it all needs putting together and mapping..

Anyone heard of MCD Vaux Garage and got any reviews??
I have spoke to them a few times and he assures me he can do the conversion, get the engine built etc...
He has sent me a few pics f engines he`s currently doing.

Thanks again!

Tbh you just need a good engine builder, doesn't need to be a so called LET specialist...

then send the car to someone who does nova let conversions.

Basically saying what Stufarts saying but an engine is an engine so try locally for decent engine rebuilders, then your main mission is sourcing someone to do the conversion;)
