Got a 1.2 merit, fee plans for it in long run will get some decent big brakes on, what's a good set up?

In the interim, I think I've got a seized calliper, my dad has a mk3 Astra 1.6i that's gonna go to the scrappy, would the brakes fit the nova? We only put discs and pads on recently.

Any bits I can harvest off the 1.6 spi to make the 1.2 better?

Yeah those fit and the engine and gearbox would make a 1.2 better

Will I need the servo too?

Engine runs really bad and not been able to get to bottom of the issue.
Would the 1.6 box fit the 1.2?
Clutch?

Yep - all interchangeable.
Assume the Astra's brakes are vented? Otherwise not worth it really.

Yes if the Astra is scrap it would make an ideal doner car to improve the Nova. Brakes, wheels, engine and box to start with.

For the measily 'gain' of the 1.6 SPI over the 1200, I'd not bother, but then folks are a strange bunch.

You dont "need" the servo, its only like power steering in that it helps but doesnt make the brakes better in their actual use.

So I can put the Astra box on the nova 1.2 to get the 5speed, not bothered about engine.
Would the 1.6 exhaust manifold be worth fitting?
