is there a way 2 correct the fault
when u turn the hazard light switch upside down it turns the ignition on

ne help plz

there is a pair of black wires going into the plug behind the dash for the switch
Cut the pair and twist together and join with a diode- leaving effectively one black wire with a diode in.
Cant remember which way diode goes off the top of my head.

Takes about 20 mins

Mike yes i tried it in both on and off positions and nowt happened. i havn't broke the switch either.

perhaps the crossflow engines had difrent ignition systems........?

Well there aint an ECU in mine is that what could stop it?

But my side repeaters are removable so you don't have to cut any wires,

prolly nowt to do with it like but...

only injection cars or whatever have ecus. e.g throttle bodies, injection etc. any carb car dosent have ecu - unless it has engine management or some other stuff.

my car dosent have an ecu ;)

may just be wired up difrently. u may have got lucky and someone may have done the diode trick already !

I don't think an old granny would know how to do such a trick, lol

the wires are not damaged, cut soldered or jointed in any way shape or form...
