C20xe fuel gauge

I have a c20xe nova with a digi dash, the fuel gauge keeps going from full to empty and just has a mind of its own sometimes.
any ideas what I can do?

All older cars tend to do it mate, If it reads OK when the car is on a flat surface and not moving but then goes up and down when you move off its normal. If it's really bad then new sender. If it's completely random then may be a bad connection behind the clocks
