Hope this is in right section.

Planning on fitting twin carbs to my nova.
Can anyone point me in the right direction of what dissy setup i can use?
Also what tank/pump to use??

Car is currently a 1984 12st going to fit my 20ne with seh pistons, kent cam/pully, port/polished head and hopefully twin carbs.
Are twin 40s ok or would 45s be better?
Any help appreciated.[emoji3]

Hi buddy 45s are perfect & use a facet pump & your tank wont need a return I'm sure someone will come along with what tank to use....

H&H are the people you want for a dissy & have a look on sbd site for loads of info.....................

40's will work, they will limit your peak power notionally to 150bhp but the sporty 2.0 8v was only 130 from factory anyway, but you will get a healthy dose of low end torque.
45's will be a better option and not limit power persay, but they maybe costlier to obtain.

I guess it all depends on what size chokes you opt for. 40's and 45's can be set up to run equally horrible if these things aren't considered.

For road use 40s would be better as they will give much better torque low down than 45s

Thanks for the replys.
Have tried looking for 45s not many about alot more 40s on ebay.
Will a 1.6 dissy work or will the advance curve be wrong?

The 1.6 dizzy will work with matching ignition amp and coil. As said before H+H can supply you a set up but they do pop up on eBay it's just knowing the correct bits to bid on.

They are different, not better or worse, just different.
You may find less support for them, but finding a good carb man is hard anyway

Would the facet be ok to run in engine bay? Or closest to tank?
I know there suppose to be used vertical so is there enough room under the car? Will also use a filter king pressure regulator.

Also would it be a good idea to use a swirl pot so it doesnt suffer if the tank runs low?

Not sure it will help you buddy as mines isn't a road car facet is inside the car as is the fuel lines up to the pressure reg & a return from the reg for
the excess fuel back to the tank or swirl pot, if you have a swirl pot then it will have an over flow back to the tank.
I can email pics if you still want them as photobucket is doing my head in most other forums I'm on you can add pics from your laptop
(WHY NOT ON HERE AGGGGHHHHH) lol
