I watched and enjoyed the first one but it's not in my top ten films, might have watched it a bit to late as it was dated when I first watched it a good few years back

Double post
I only watched the first one this year, it was horrific in terms of the story etc but I appreciate it was well made and of its time. I fear the 2nd won't work or be as meaniningful for those who loved the first since they have moved on in life too.
if that makes sense

I only watched the original for the first time 2/3 years ago and was hugely disappointed. Not a terrible film but not the 'must watch classic' it was always made out to be. Will probably watch 2 when its on Film4 in a few years lol

The original was at the time okay but tbh not fantastic, I'll watch the second one though anyway.
The soundtrack of the first one was good though.

I saw the first one when it came out and not my cup of tea in all honesty. About ten years ago I read one of Welsh's books and again not for me so won't be going to the film. I can see why it has a following though.
