Rusty water pipe snapped in C20LET head

Hi guys just won a C20LET engine on eBay for £650, the guy has listed it with the water pipe being so far gone and rusty that it's snapped inside the head of some sort would this be an easy fix and how could I get round it? Would this mean it will need poss a new head??

No - they are just pressed in, so you will be able to remove the old one and press a replacement in...

If its rusty, it;; be a bit of a ball ache and may need to be sliced/cut/drilled...

You used to be able to buy them but unsure if you still can, try Autovaux otherwise find a metal tube to press in the right size.

Yes you might need to get some dremel action to remove the old tube, so be careful.

Thanks lads, so it's as easy as that but obviously be careful at doing it sort of thing :) I should have a 1.0l engine going for sale in a thread soon if you lads know of anyone interested iirc it is on 76k :)

Yeah thats the one lol lol the bloke won't wait a couple days for payment so told him to relist it, got a full C20LET package cheap from a pal of mine now

Unfortunately not lol I was lucky enough to get this one as he wasn't going to budge with it but I managed to sweet talk him into giving in at the end lol lol

That's ian's engine, as for the water pipe they can be bought new from Germany, I fitted one to mine the other month
