View Full Version : Is my rear driver side shocker out?

The Nova is a little lower at the back on that side and when pressed down it doesn't rise back up as instantly as the passenger side?

I have looked and the spring looks fine, there is no fluid leak but they are gas shockers.

As a temporary measure, I have a few Corsa b shockers lying about. Could I put a pair of them on or are the specs different?

Thanks

I've used corsa b ones before .

Springs denote height not shocks.

I have checked the height with a tape measure on a perfectly flat surface and they are the same so that's fine. The car doesn't come to rest as quickly on this corner as it does on the other 3 so I assume the shocker is failing.

It might well be. Swap it with the other side or replace.

I just bought two new ones. The old ones were hard to remove at the top, the nut had rusted on yet there was no other sign of rot. The shockers are only 8 years old and were a little softer than the new ones but, what a difference in handling, it is back to driving like my Nova.

Glad you sorted it.
