Heater Fan

My Heater fan will only work on the fastest speed, not on 1 or 3. any ideas?
dont really wanna pull off half the dash to test the switch.

I'm confused, do you mean it won't work on 1 & 2 ? If so try the resistor on the motor itself.

yeah, sorry. works on 3 but not on 1 or 2. How do go about testing the resistor?

You'll need a multimeter. A probe either side.

It's basicly a small black cylinder that sits on the back of the motor. On the I stage it lets about 3-4v through, II about 7-8v and on III the resistor is bypassed and the full 12v goes through.

I'd look for a loose connection first, or anysign of corrosion the the wires. If any connections look a bit green, clean them up.
