C20XE will not rev!!!!

Morning,

I have bought a 20xe nova, unfortunately it doesn't want to rev!

The car initially did not idle very well, upon looking it appears the fuel pump relay wiring was cut, so connected that back up and idles ok.

The problem i now have is as soon as i touch the throttle the wants to cut out?
I have tried the air-mass, changed the coil and no joy.

Any help would be appreciated on this one!

It may be worth noting i have been informed the car has a lambda loom, but running a non-lambda ecu?

Ideas please!

Try the daft doughnut ring on inlet see if its split

Wire up the EML if it's not already.

If that's on, flash out the codes.

The fuel pump relay should prime on ignition and run when the engine's running so IMO it would run or not with that wiring bodged.

Like Iain said - it sounds like its priming on ignition and then not running the pump once its fired up - hence why there's not enough fuel when you try to rev it

try coolant temp sensor, front of engine, this also caused me similar problems. Check the wiring to the plug too.
