Important information - VBOA rally, no longer at Billing

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
As you may or may not be aware, the management at Billing aquadrome (where the VBOA rally has been for 25+ years) has decided to not host anymore car shows, and to focus on holidays/leisure related business. This means at present, the VBOA rally/national event for 2017 has no location and as a by product no date. We have had a meeting today (2/10/16) and some locations were proposed to the chairman, most within a 60mile radius of Billing as it's an acceptable location for "most". Rest assured the work is being carried out (on a volunteer basis as all of this car club stuff is) to setup an event for next year around similar dates as usual etc. We will keep you up-to-date as possible.

Seems a bizzarre move.Theres a huge Land Rover show there amongst other things too.Obviously think they can make more on holidays which is lol who wants to go on holiday to the centre of the country?

The lr show moved this year, because of the hassle billing gave everyone this spring... Sadly it was too late for the vboa or move is so it's changing next year.

Any idea where the LR club held their show? Would this location be suitable for future VBOA events by any chance?

Here's hoping the new Billing management is going to regret their decision. Their loss.

The LR show was moved to Peterborough show ground.
vboa are hoping to talk to them about it, but as this is publicly accessible, we should be nice about all options ;)

I think it is a shame it is moving but the grounds seemed to be going downhill the last couple of years, 2016 seemed to be the worst yet, the camping areas where full of dog shit :roll:

If they wanted to look further north there are some great locations around, recently went to VW festival in Leeds and it was a great venue.
