ICV on a XE

my idle control valve doesnt seem to do anything, the engine revs far to high.

to stop it revving ive had to get a clip on the pipe to squeeze it!! ive swapped it with another and that didnt solve the problem any ideas what it coulkd be??

probly an airleak somewhere!!

if youv tried more than 1 icv (unless there both stuck) then id say airleak!!
