x16xe vss gearbox blanking plate?

Just pulled an x16xe had a look on the gearbox for the vss and there is a blanking plate where it should be, any ideas why and how to get round this, thankyou

You need a different gearbox the speedo and vss on the corsa would of been run through the abs system you need a cable drive small block gearbox and a transducer from a 1.2i or 1.4i nova for the speed signal to stop it cutting out at junctions
