Hi I have a 1988 nova sr and need a pair of the original gas strut mounting bolts ( not sure the exact name for them,they are the two identical bolts with the balls on the end that the gas strut clips onto) I have tried a new strut but it just fouls the boot light switch(I have already broken one switch) and have ordered another different one via an original part number sourced from here but it came without the pillar/mounting bolts. I would be willing to pay for an original strut as well as the two ball mounting bolts as I have tried everything and it still fouls my replacement light switch. The only thing I can think of is the original mounting bolts might of been longer to allow for clearance og the light switch.
