Ok, I'll probably get my hands smacked for this one, but I searched 4pages back and couldn't find anything to help me! The search option doesn't seem to be working either...?

Going to be buying some 16v Astra GTE calipers, pads and discs ASAP. I have 15" alloys, so I'm led to believe they will easily fit...but my main question is...Do I need to modify the dics's or hubs at all, to get it all to fit?

Or do they really just bolt on that easily? BTW I have a 1.2 mk1 Starfire Nova.

Help appreciated...cheers lads.

you probably will have to bash the shit out of (or remove) the sheet metal dust protectors behind the nova disk but that is all.

dont forget the caliper carriers! (like I did)

And I recommend you get the uprated GTE servo/master cylinder as this will give you extra oomph through the pedal - otherwise you'll have long pedal travel.

brake bleeding kit is also needed (obviously)

Nice one lads. That guide is pretty detailed...

Just needed to know they'll fit without modification to the hub or disc itself, although I guess that would probably stop people from doing it so often - so I should have worked that out!

Just making sure though. I'll have a go at fitting them at the weekend.

here you go:

remove the wheel
unbolt brake line
remove the carrier with the caliper bolted to it (quicker this way)
remove dust sheild
remove old disc

fit new disc
fit new carrier with caliper (pads to)
refit brake line
bleed

refit wheel

test them out

job dun

good idea to change the servo and master cylinder to a GTE/GSI 1

think that is bout it

hope that helps

unscrew the brake line last thing (i.e just beofre you are ready to put the new one on) then straight away screw it into the new caliper.
