I have a x16xe fitted in my nova but not running I thought I was getting a c16xe but I messed up but hey ho !!!

How compatible are they as I really wanted the c16

The plan was to get the nova running on the x16 then build a nice c16 then swap it over when its done.

1. What are the diffrences between the 2

2. Will the wiring loom & ecu work from the x16 to the c16

3. Will the exhaust & inlet manifolds swap over

4. Which gearboxes are suitable is there any I should avoid

5. Are there any other problems ive missed ??

Vauxhalls are new to me & I am not quite clued up on what fits what yet & I would appreciate some first hand
experience & info on this before I change my mind & go with a red top as much simpler but I wanted the lightness of the small bock for handling but for the hassle is it really worth it lol

Thanks Kev ;)

They are mostly the same - the differences being the inlet manifold and the fact the c16 runs an airflow meter and the x16 runs a MAF
so that means the looms are different and the x16 runs an immobiliser in the ECU
Everything is interchangeable though
