hi there I am looking to change my engine in my nova gsi from a 20xe to a c20let engine has any one got any advice or pics of intercooler set up as I want to retain my standard front bumper the standard plastic bar has already been cut out and mesh fitted but I don't want the intercooler sticking on the outside I want it hidden behind bumper, which intercooler is the best type to use make model size etc.... also what size exhaust do people use, is it a 3" exhaust system best to use...?? I was thinking of having a exhaust system running from turbo and to exit the side of drivers side front bumper what do people think how loud would it be and is it possible ....??? :thumb:

Depending on how low you run a side exit exhaust will be an issue, also it will be loud as hell imo

as for intercoolers I got this off eBay as a universal intercooler can measure up at a later date and managed to hide it behind a gte bumper which has a lot less room that a gsi.

im going to get some 90's welded onto the intercooler pointing back into the bay as its tight and the silicone hose is rubbing on the chassis, never had an issue but it's only a track car and get minimal usage

this currently has a 2.5 or 2.75 exhaust which I will be replacing with a 3" system, the people who made it wouldn't put a 3" on as it wouldn't sit right apparently around the gear selector. As I'm using a cav shifter now I can run the exhaust nice and straight and larger
