Have been stalking the forum and been reading through old posts but hoped certain members could give me as much advice as possible.

As a wedding present to myself I am wanting a different toy/project. I have had 500bhp Evo's, 300bhp glanza's, m3s etc but haven't ticked the Nova box.

I would only be using it on a very seldom occasion and more than likely not track work, now due to this am I right in thinking a c20let with a rebuilt kkk would be tons more fun? I would also consider a c20xe with carbs but think for my use I wouldn't find it as interesting. However without ever being in either they are just guesses at best. I understand of course people may disagree. Or am I missing the point entirely and a V6 a better option?

I understand I am hard pushed to find an example that is solid in terms of rust and that may last. So I'm really hoping I may be able to convince a member with a decent example to part with one at some point - I don't mind a project that needs work or building , or one that needs finishing touches or a complete.

Also are there any members near the South West or would I be very much on my own? Just looking for as much advice/help/information possible either in PM or on here. Sadly have been done over a few times on certain sites buying blind and find this tends to be a good way to go.

Boring read I'm sure so sorry about that.

James

Depends how south in the south west but I own a nova turbo,

currently reshelling into a new shell with a decent cage in so unlikely to see the road or track this year unless I win the lotto

Thank you for the reply. I will send you a PM if you do not mind.

A lot of track cars go the Throttle bodies route. As it's power from the get go, rather than waiting for boost to build/kick in.

I imagine if you're used to 500bhp on tap an N/A Nova won't quite cut it. LET engines scare me with their price tag an age, so I'd look into suitable more modern engines personally.

What are the main options if I didn't need to go big block? Also building from another post what are the more suitable more modern engine options? Sadly wouldn't mind building a few different ones if I can get my hands on them.

You know what I mean though, simpler chucking throttle bodies on a let won't make it a race engine lol

I'm not wanting it to be a race engine and the only lag I get at the moment is from my isp lol
