Bit of help needed, what options are available for a quick rack, I've seen the quaife and something about the corsa b rack but don't know much about it, some more info would be good, thanks
Quafie do internals for a nova rack so you'd have to strip it down,
i believe with the corsa b rack you change the arms to nova items.
quafie is 2.5 turns and corsa b is 2.75 turns
i will be using a corsa b item and converting it over will have pics when I do it in my project thread

Pictures in my project thread - Corsa B epas rack and it's pretty simple. Replace the tie rods as stated and cut down the shaft that goes into the column.

I'll be doing the corsa conversion soon
There's another brand available on eBay but about £150 for rack and pinion. Always used to be supply problems with the Quaife ones made in batches.
Corsa is the way to go I think, bolt in except for arms changed so no faffing with pinion bearings, preload etc.
Quafie must have a batch as they are listed as in stock on there site now.
Gone are the days you'd buy a complete rack from TAS for 120 quid ready to bolt in lol
imo a quick rack with no power assist is a pain in the arse in everyday use, lived with mine for 3 or 4 years every day, think mine is under 2 turns LTL tho,
Is there anyway of identifying a corsa quick rack? Apart from actually turning
Markings on the casing etc

As soon as I can be motivated to remove it, it is basically ready to get out so could be available soon if you are genuinely interested?
£80 plus postage.

When I remove mine I will have a look on the casing for you. I just know it is a Corsa one from checking lock to lock - 2.75 turns.
What sort of markings are you looking for? I've got a rack sat in the nova I can go and check
Part number on the casing maybe?
Just something I can identify one over a standard one

I'll get it and update it in here tomorrow, I've got to get the nova rolling so will get pics

Be careful its not just a housing part number though
I'll check it with the nova rack on the old shell, sure the casings are the same arnt they?
Right after having another look at 2 other racks I've got here both nova ones, that number isn't just for the casting
this is a mk1 rack
