K16 turbo

Right I've had a dump valve fitted to my turbo now for a while but wasn't sure if it was working or not,

do I need to fit this spacer? Today is the 1st I've ever seen this before

I made mine it's just stops the standard one working. The aftermarket one will be louder with the oe disabled.

So I should use this spacer then? I guess it fits in the turbo somewhere

Yes take the end cap off the turbo. Inside is the spring u want it to stop opening using the spacer. Also I put a bit of pipe on the outlet of the end cap with a bolt in just incase any air escaped.

Just use a couple of washers lol. But yes you need to do this before you fit a aftermarket dv
