Help needed making rear shelf

Been looking around the forum
trying to find an old post about fixing or making
a rear shelf for a mk2 nova
and can't find a thing

mybe I'm using search wrong

anyway i have a rear shelf that is standerd
only has one problem
it's got one of the black latches broken
the black round thing that hold it in place
on the original speaker supports
so any way to fix it ?

or or would it be best to build new one with mdf wood
if so how do you make it

Have you still got it or is it missing. If it's the piece it only pivots so what about putting a little u clamp over it to hold it in place, so long as no weight on it you could self tap it in the shelf.

or take both off, run a small tube of maybe copper pipe across the length, fix that to the shelf and atleast it could look like a bar meant for it if you painted it abit
