Hi guys, I back again with my new project for this season. As we announced on facebook(https://www.facebook.com/SupernovaTeam95/?ref=bookmarks) we decided to refurb and restore my old Nova.

Thanks, we build a track/rally/sprint car with the old stuff from my old hillclimb nova.

So, after engine inspection, the car have a high coolant consumption. And when oil have a high temperature, a metallic noise can be heard on top of the engine... after remove the cylinder head, he looks like this.

Fortunately the bottom end is in good condition...

With engine off, its time to clean and check body damages. Fortunately, two holes behind right front wheel, a few rust on rear floor and a bit of superficial rust at the engine bay.

Engine needs a full rebuild, so, I put it on place to start with it as soon as new parts arrived.

I have a question for the master of rust on here, what´s the better option for the wheel arches and body floor? paint it or other solution?

Clean rust off, primer, underseal and then paint the floor. Most protection the better.

well, not much time to spend on the car... the only good thing its the project goes well, slowly, much as I like to say but I have a few changes since last update. The shell is nearly to ready to start with the refurbish and strengthened process.

Last parts arrived today, now I have all necessary to advance the shell a little bit.

A question for experts, I have an old MBE management system and a Megasquirt. what is the best option for my 1.6 8v engine?? of course the two option have fuel and ignition management.

If your going to get the car mapped and both offer the same sort of spec, then I would ask whoever is mapping it would they prefer.

Not much time to waste on the car, family, work and my back pain dont leave me free time. Little progress consist on complete strip the car and start to repair rear failed body repair do it few year ago.
