ive been looking into getting some mintex fast road pads, but im getting confused with part numbers, and prices.

mintex's website isnt clear at all, and only seems to have the regular oe type pad in there list. no fast road alternative. is there a seperate catalogue for the m1144's, hidden somewhere on the net ?

on ebay and other places, ive found regular oe type, and m1144 type, with prices ranging between £20-ish upto £100-ish, and its not clear which is which, as no specific part numbers are mentioned, and theres no pictures to compare the difference either.

i dont want to pay 70 odd pound for a set of standard oe pads, but at the same time, if i can get the m1144's for £20, then that would be good, but none of it makes sense, so wanted to ask you guys.

the specific pads i was after was for 236 x 20 disc (tigra a / corsa b / astra f)

from what little ive gathered, it looks like red box pads with mintex logo on are standard oe type, and black box pads, with a racing helmet on are the m1144, but im not sure.

i know some of you guys have used them, and will probably know, so any help appreciated, ta :thumb:

Mintex are ace when it comes to part numbering.

It'll be the part number and suffixed with 1144 to show they are proper.
I've seen them in blue ctech boxes, red, red with a skid lid etc, so they are t helpful in that respect

hey stuart, these are the only ones i can find :

http://mintexvrm.com/WebForms/frmPartEnquiry.aspx?PartNumber=MDB1556

by suffixed, you mean advertised as 1556 still, but with m1144 tagged on ?
ive seen a few of those.
if so. cheers, i know what to look out for now.

Yeah it'll be mdb1556-1144 doubt you'd find them for £20 and careful they have them in stock and theyre not waiting on mintex to make more in that compound

Mintex make all M1144 and 1155 pads to order now. So if they have them in stock, they'll be old stock (not that, that matters) if not you'll have a 2-3 week wait. And i know that direct from Mintex.

The newest boxes are black and red.

If i were you, id go to a motorfactor or such and get them that way. You'll be safe that way. Ad can take them back if wrong.
