Is it the head gasket?

Evening,

My nova is getting through a lot of water and running hotter than normal, when I open the header tank it is very very hot and looks white. Is this a head gasket starting to go?

no, its gone, buy a head set, and a new thermostat. then flush the rad out, should run ok. for a while after that.
