C20let rear coolant hose

Hi guys

I need a bit of help, just got my nova back on the road, and last night the coolant hose at the back of the engine, split, only a little bit, as it only leaks under higher pressure, like when it's warm,

Does anyone have any tips to change it, I've thought about removing the inlet but didn't know if there's an easier way, or any tricks

Have to do it from underneath mate. Much easier but still a pig lol.
did it at the side of the m4 once in the dark.

Annoyingly all the clips on it are facing up, guess I'll be cracking out the elbow joints and loosening them off then underneath, joy oh joy,

Tin snip the jubilee clips off and just buy some new ones.

Probably will do, or being lazy may just zap it with a dremmel, I'll have a closer look tomorrow

As said, cut the old ones off and replace. Add a tiny wipe of oil to the metal pipes to ease fitting and line all the new jublieeclips up so they face you. Justincase of next time.

Try a 6/7mm socket on a 1/4 drive ratchet first!
I always face the jubilee clips down when I'm building an engine up! lol

Easy to overlook when you build it then fit the manifold after isn't it though

I'd have thought a 7mm socket and 1/4 ratchet or 7mm spanner would get them off no matter what the direction

Remember to disconnect the battery if you're working close to the starter, that's scary to touch that when lying underneath the car
