Send me details! I have the conversion plates but it's not immediately obvious where to weld!

Thanks

Is it for a mk2 Astra conversion? Square plates aren't they?

Yep - I bought the plates from eBay - but as they are a slightly different shape - I want to be 100% before the welder's out!

Not fancy going for a more modern bolt-on way of rear discing it? The welded plates seems a bit of a dated way of doing it.

Doesnt the corsa c rear disc conversion just bolt on in the original holes?

Yes with a very minor tickle to the back of the stub axle off the Corsa. The cable handbrake operates the caliper mechanism and it's all very compact and modern-ish.

Better option all round then. ;)

Yeah - Ive actually got the corsa c set up in a box - but was put off it by Craig - due to track issues and handbrake headaches...

Plus I have all the astra gte stuff already!

Thanks for the pics!

Fair point on the handbrake, the cables are all tried and tested on the older stuff.

Its the extra track on the Corsa stuff that's stopped me upgrading. Having seen Craig's. It pushes the wheels out quite alot more.

Maybe you could machine off the back of the stub axle or the Nova beam plate slightly. Or just fit old Astra stuff if you're happy with it lol

Nova front halves and Corsa back halves with cable clamps holding them together along the beam. Not pretty but it works.

Corsa C / Tigra B stuff works if you are preparing a shell that's going to paint, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything else.

I got my arches to look pretty subtle in the end.

Anyone got any photos or info of what they have done with the handbrake cables for a corsa C setup bolted on Corsa B axle?
