Gonna ask again, I lost my thread :(

So I'm thinking about upgrading my brakes a bit, and trying to without changing from 13" rims.

A decent caliper/disc/pad combo would be fine, maybe even a braided hose kit.

So, Corsa B sport ones are out of the question, as you can't source any over here. I mean, none at all. Only ones you can find are 1.0, 1.2, and 1.5 diesel.

Nova ones are all solid discs, as there's literally only 1 1.3 and 1 1.4 Nova's that I know of on the island, and as far as I know, they're both solid discs too.

Would a Corsa B 1.5 diesel be the same as the Nova 1.5 diesel? I know someone mentioned that a vented disc will fit into a diesel caliper as they're a bit larger.

The corsa sport brakes are also on tigra a 1.4/6 the diesel ones would fit and are vented may well be 236mm.

I'll see if I can source Tigra ones, but Tigra's aren't and weren't that common over here. I've seen maybe 2 or 3 in my life, honestly.

I'll try and source some Corsa B diesel ones. I thought those discs are solid though? Aren't they on a Nova?

I honestly don't know. If they're vented, then great! I'll go get a set, but if not, damn, back to square one. I have a mate who has a Corsa B with a 1.5 and I asked him, but I've honestly never seen him on Facebook, so we'll see. Maybe if someone else knows they can weigh in.

Thanks though mate

Apparently Corsa B with a 1.5 diesel have solid discs

up Grades?
I honestly swear I wrote "upgrades" initially, I have no idea what happened.

Might just be sleep deprivation.

Mk3 astra 1.6 brakes maybe to fit under 13 inch wheels.

My Sport is getting the vented 236mm discs, ATE calipers to suit and braided hoses - sticking with the 5Jx13 steel wheels initially.

I think I may have to do this for another day, because something is seriously wrong with my brakes. Just passed MOT too. Lovely.

Well, changed both discs, all pads and a wheel cylinder. Let's see if that fixes the problem, and bled the whole system.

I can't catch a break.
Inb4 scrap it.
Inb4 Iain was right.

Brake pedal feels really spongy and soft. Just changed the front discs and pads, and a wheel cylinder on the back. Other wheel cylinder is fine, and bled the whole system. No air, and no leaks.

What could be the cause? Vacuum pump on the way out? Brake MC shot? Brake booster is done for?
