HELP!!!!

hi my car this morning startin smoking from under bonnet looks like an earth has burnt out it goes into the engine sumhow would appreciate a bit of help on how i go about changing it thx :)

what do you mean "it goes into the engine somewhere"? Whereabouts and what part of the engine etc. Can you follow the wire from start to finish

it goes to a bolt next to alternator i think its an earth wire and it goes into left hand side of the engine /head

you don't mean the one that goes on to the inlet manifold do you?

what engine do you have and what colour is the wire

the wire is now bright orange cause all the casing melted off it lol
