So after parting company with my mk1 in April I managed to persuade my wife to have one final Nova for my 30th this year. What I really wanted was a Mk2 SR in breeze blue but thought that would be impossible to find, which it is. But this came up for sale a few months back!
Its a 1993 merit+ but it's had the sills replaced, very good rolled rear arches, new wings, doors, tailgate and bonnet with Astra gte vents fitted too. Along with all this it had a full external respray around 4 years back in Vauxhall Breeze blue. It's in very good condition on the outside but most of the work will be underneath where there's a few dodgy batches plus cleaning up and colour matching the engine bay.
Its had its fair share of welding already done on it as it was running a xe before so it's strong in the important areas!
This is no overnight project as this was pretty much a rolling shell so needs a lot to complete it. It's currently in the garage so cannot get many pics but this is everything so far:

Looks a nice car from the outside, what's the plans? An SR rep? What about engine? Small block 16v I hope:thumb:

leggattr
08-01-16, 05:21 PM
No more reps, just want it clean and the zipper trim was the best suit. The plan engine wise was 14nv bottom with 13sb head and cam. Already have top end stuff and a weber 32/34 dmtl carb. Also picked up a ramair filter for the weber as I had one on the previous which fitted well.

About time! Lol

hopefully nothing too drastic re the welding though mate! And I want to see it at billing...!

leggattr
09-01-16, 07:24 AM
No not that bad, had plates already welded before but it's just around one of the drain holes, a plate under the drivers seat (already plated on the underside) and then the rear passenger footwell needs a small repair.
To be fair I cannot see this going anywhere this year, my build money is tied up in my other car which I cannot sell til the summer now as its needed to transport the family on a holiday.

Love that it has opening rear windows, also if you click the shape button on PB you can just copy and paste the IMG code over so just the photo shows up, rather than the screen shot. Even tho it's thrilling to see a 3 bar signal.

leggattr
09-01-16, 12:57 PM
Thanks for the advice Benn. Sadly it doesn't have rear opening windows, may just be the picture angle. I do have most of it here to fit them tho but was deciding against it.

Ah i think its the seatbelt bolt, looked like the clamp bit.

EE, nice.

I do like a breeze blue Nova, they used to be really popular now never see them.

All the shiny bits do look nice, hopefully the rear arches have been done to a good standard. Plan to strip the bay and have it professionally painted to match?

leggattr
12-01-16, 10:27 AM
The outer bodywork is in very good nick to be honest, haven't found a dent yet!! I do need to keep the costs down so most will be done by me, that's why I have given myself a realistic year to do it. I'm planning to clean the bay up while its empty.
still lots to source so will be begging and pleading as the year goes on!

looking forward to seeing how this project progresses, Ive always liked breeze blue I think an SR rep would be fitting but can understand not wanting to do that. keep the updates coming

leggattr

With it having the zipper trim, doorcards and sunvisors to match, blue heater dials, a possible 1.3/1.4 engine from an SR it's pretty much gonna look like one. Only difference is the decals ( I did buy the rear Sr badge but now can sell it) and lower vinyls won't be present.
I have thought about doing the b-pillar vinyls but would have to get aftermarket ones for it. Along way down the road tho!

Iain

Side vinyl would look sexy though :(

So not a lot has really happened with the car as it's had to be moved out of the way for my new garage door. Have been collecting stuff for this tho. Just a few pictures of my new header tank and my windscreen washer which washed up well. Also been in touch with roose Motorsport to pick up a new hose to go with my top rad hose.

Also got myself a good carb tank to replace the injection one. Just having problems with one of the strap nuts which has no head on it so having to work out a way of getting it off!

Like the look of it mate, will be better than walking to the meets haha. i had the same issue on my sierras fuel tank, i cut the heads off with a hack saw, removed the tank then welded a nut on once the tank was gone

KSo I picked myself up a carb fuel tank so I could replace the injection one I thought the car was running but this is them both side by side (the carb one on the right and the one on the left was running the external electric pump)

The only real difference I see is the plastic ball and holder for the return is missing from my 'injection' one.I haven't yet checked the sender on my one to see if it's the same as the carb one. Do I assume it's a carb tank?

Iain
01-04-16, 03:24 PM
After a quick search it would seem the injection tank has a swirl pot affair internally around the feed. Whip the level sender out and have a look inside.

leggattr
01-04-16, 04:31 PM
Well no swirl pot from what I can see and this is the sender so I guess it's had its tank changed.http://i1050.photobucket.com/albums/s411/leggattr/Mobile%20Uploads/EB55AB16-BAF6-478E-8142-77DB86892984_zpsaymto9e4.jpg (http://s1050.photobucket.com/user/leggattr/media/Mobile%20Uploads/EB55AB16-BAF6-478E-8142-77DB86892984_zpsaymto9e4.jpg.html)

If they're the same internally then I guess you can use either for a carb!

No refunds.

Eurocarparts quality isn't as good since it was sold so I prefer genuine

leggattr
05-04-16, 11:43 PM
Well I was hoping to pick up a good used set but cannot justify paying £15 to £20 for them. I will be in the market for a mk2 grill and noticed they also sell a aftermarket one but cannot see any pictures of it. That's priced at £35 mind so is that going to be poor quality?

Looks like it will be bit of a rep after all! These are in very good condition and are in keeping with the car so went for them, was going to go for a digi but the prices are just stupid these days.
Also got hold of a 1.3 inlet and dizzy from Josh so very happy, getting all the important parts now.

So just a small update from last weekend. Decided to get the front end running gear stripped off the shell. Looks like it needs a rub down and few coats of paint to freshen up. Have found that the lower arms have been strengthened by the previous owner so helpful if i decide to upgrade later down the line.

Also this came on Tuesday. It's an aftermarket option so thought I'd try it out. The black slatted section seems more rubbery than solid plastic but other than that it looks good. At least it came split so easier to paint. Seems better than what's been on offer in recent weeks and all the clips are present.

Had a few hours to do alittle more prepping. Stripped down the servo and that's ready to paint. Gave the servo mount a quick wire wheel too, (doubt it will stay looking like this for long). Also made a start on the mounts, realised the small front drivers mount is too perished so will need replacing, the larger one that attaches to the engine is missing so will have to find one.
Managed to remove the rear mount after some work and the rubber on that has also seen better days so will be replaced.

Started cleaning up the bay last weekend. Few plates need welding behind the turrets. Both have had new plates underneath already. The battery tray could also do with a plate or 2.

Take the rubber seal from the m\c out and clean it and behind it. Loads of shite builds up in there causing leaks.

Thought I'd upload a few pics of yesterday's work. Basically grinding out the rusty floor patches and flapping it back to bare metal plus also tidying up the previous welding around the bay.

Just put a rust treatment over the lot and have begun cutting the metal plates for the holes. Picked up some etch primer for the bay and will use alittle filler to smooth out the welds for a better finish.

So finally put down my first welds! Not quiet what it looked like in the video but need to get used too the different power and wire speeds. Don't think there was great penetration but they ain't budging.
Also done the first skim of filler and blow over of etch in the engine bay to try and tidy up the mess. Probably requires one more skim to fill the small holes then hopefully ready to paint in the new year.

Might be a bit untidy, but looks like its sticking ok. Playing around with the settings on the welder takes time but does help.
You'll see the heat come thru the other side if its really got in deep. Have a look under the dash and see...

The material must be alot cleaner to achive a good weld mate not only does the paint ect get into the weld pool but the gasses that come off it repel the intert gas that you are trying to shield the weld with hence the pourosity .
Also get the juice up another click and the wire speed down .
You want to be looking for a hissing sound rather than snap crackle n pop . Hope this helps mate

So this week marks a year of ownership of this nova, also the longest I've had a nova off the road!!
Had a few hours today out in the foggy garden to cut the last plates for the drivers and passengers floor panels. Hopefully have an hour or two tomorrow to weld them in before new year comes around.
Pictures not the best as it was dark in the garage.

I decided to inspect the wing mirrors that had been stored in the loft for the last 6 months. Both are damaged beyond repair so removed the painted covers to fit to a replacement set.
Paint is still in good condition but had very few marks around the edges so dug out my touch up paint to do the job.

End of last week I managed to remove the underseal so I can continue the repairs to the floor.
All this was done in a small space on my back so pretty happy with results. Since had a coat of kurust on the sill edges and over the previous repairs.

Was a good time to do this as I was having issues with the welder but managed to get it going today, having replaced the swan neck liner but seem to be getting to much condensation in the garage that's attacking the welder and reel of wire so it's living in the kitchen now.
Next week I can start cutting more plates for the floor and get a few bits welded up at the weekend. Once the warmer weather hits us I can start coating the floor with primer and the underseal.

So today I decided on as it was going to be the hottest one this year, I would roll around in a stuffy garage putting the first coat of underseal on the floor. I assumed the underseal would be more ply able when heated, which it was, in fact very ply able.
It requires another coat before the hammerite goes on but didn't want to leave it sitting in etch for to long. Few pictures of the coat:

I plan to spray the engine bay next week end. That then is pretty much all the front done. Just done the lower front panel today. All the underneath is done bar 2 coats of blue hammerite.
Then I can make a start on the rear wheel wells and back from that. Already have the axle out and started some stripping back some of the old underseal. The spare wheel well is pretty good and already had some work done on the rear chassis legs.
I need to tidy up the floor on the inside of the car, all holes are plugged just need more seam sealer and paint.

I have to be honest this isn't the best job in the world. Still a few flat spots and run out of lacquer but it's far better than it was. The engine will be covering most of this so not too worried.

So I picked up another can of lacquer today as I wasn't 100% happy with the finish. Now I discovered my spraying technique I managed to get a much better gloss finish.
What I have discovered tho is the colour of the car has faded so not as close in match than I had hoped. As I still have to repair the base of both wings and along the bottom edge of the sills I'm worried it will look different.
Reading up on the t-cuts/ clay bars will these really make a huge difference to the paint fade?

Anyway updated pics

So found some more time recently to crack on with this. Really need to get a move on so it can see the road next summer.
So started putting some bits back on this now and got the first coat of paint underneath. Also done a few coats on the inside floor as I was sick at looking at it!
I have new front bearings to be fitted to the front and then they can go back on with the tie bars and new bushes for the bottom arms so they can be refitted. I tried pressing them in myself and it broke the vice so will be taking them to the garage to fit.

I've cleaned up the heater box so that can be reattached tomorrow but will dig out the speedo cable first as I always remembered that being a arse of a job to get that through the hole when the dash was in. Also the knuckles have been collected with new bearings fitted and the bottom arms have new bushes so again can refit tomorrow if time permits.

Does fill good to put it back together. It's just the inner arches and rear floor to finish but they are in far far better condition than the rest was. Just a few welds, a rub down, then under seal and paint. Hopefully the dirty bits will be completed by the end of January whilst still re fitting stuff and starting on the engine.

So most of the front running gear is put back together now, may even drop it on wheels so I can paint where the front axle stands have been for the last year and half. I am having trouble with the passenger ball joint being pressed into the knuckle so borrowing a c clamp to hopefully sort that.

Have also completed the main underside painting so just leaves the back end to finish. The sound deadening has been removed from the spare wheel well so just needs tidying and I'm in the process of refitting the engine loom to the car.

Talking engine I have shifted the garage around and made up the engine stand so I can crack on with that between jobs this Dec/Jan.

I've left it there so it's tucked out the way while other stuff gets finished. It looks like it should come into the bay somewhere as the connection will take a larger nut/bolt from the block, bigger than the battery one but cannot see how it comes through. Cannot see anything in the Haynes.

That earth wire connected to the positive battery terminial is a dead short when you connect battery back up. That long earth wire goes to the back of starter motor

Also as I put the first pipe on the car I had to refit the servo and mc.

Managed to get the dash carcass bolted up today so will need to test everything works next.
Also drilled out the doors for the wiring of the central locking and leccy windows.
Realised there was 2 wires missing from the engine bay (oil pressure sender and water temp), found these cut and taped up so got some new bits soldered in.
I've cleaned up the 1.3 inlet and fitted the conversion plate for the Weber 32/34 so just need the service kit to clean up the carb.

Also fitted the wiper blades and nut covers I picked up awhile back. Another thing done.

Just in the process of cleaning the cam carrier now the cam has been removed and re attaching the hoses to the fuel tank ready to refit once the rear section of floor is complete.
Once I can get hold of some decent carpet I can get the front seats bolted back in.

Managed to order around 3 metres of the original plastic fuel line (return) which cost £6 delivered so will see what that is like when it arrives and will use copper for the feed. Also sourced a new replacement heater cable for the dash as mine was well used and a clip had snapped.
Started sorting all engine hoses and working out what's left to buy, whilst there I cut the top rad to header silicone one to size.

May sound a bit cow boy but fit the bar to the bumper then cut some small blocks of wood / plastic and wedge it in between the two parts of the clip . Works and wont pop off again . Nothing worse than the bumper un clipping all the time.

Well I'm certainly no painter but pretty happy how it came out. Do have one patch which ran when applying lacquer but will attempt to fix.
The worry all along was the colour difference between the older car paint and this but on first glance it's quiet close considering the car hadn't been cleaned or polished since owning it.

So got a Bergen valve spring compressor tool to start on the head and it was just a nightmare, just couldn't get the upper cups to drop. I ended up using a U clamp which worked a treat. Hoping the correct tool will help get it put back together but not counting my chickens.
Also got a Dremel so can now make a start tidying up the head before fitting.

Serious progress now - looking like a car again

leggattr
08-06-18, 04:57 PM
So more progress has happened.

Axle now 95% complete. Brakes on so just need new handbrake cables and then just to pack the rear bearings with grease.

Rear brake lines are on, just a few adjustments required. Not as straight as I wanted them but will do the job.

Gearbox cleaned up and new release bearing fitted. Also torqued up the mount so just waiting on replacement reverse switch.

Engine now off the stand and new clutch and pressure plate on. This is the closest it has got to actually being in the engine bay.

Now the engine is ready to go in and finish being built up, is it easier I fit the gearbox and lift it to the car or do it separately?
There is no crane available to do this so will be jacked up from below.

Front wheels have been jet washed and fitted with some new tyres, I decided on Avon zv7’s. Also at the same time got my SR steering wheel fitted.
Also picked up oil (thought I’d try the GM stuff, plus was only £13) coolant, gear oil and screen wash.
Anyone know somewhere that does a good price on brake fluid? Looking at Dot 4 5 litres?

So getting further on with this but also having small step backs as we go.
The front bumper is on do just needs bolting to the wings, then it’s just the grill to clip on.
In terms of engine it spins over nicely now BUT takes an age to start, only goes with a foot on the throttle and dies when the foot is lifted. Also carb flooding is an issue even when the idle screw is all but shut. Had issues with the floats so may remove the carb to see if there’s any issues.
Then il use the timing light to make sure it’s sparking at the right point.
one side repeater not working but hopefully an easy fix.

Sadly I barely got onto the duel carrage way and as I started going up the gears it started hesitating, like every time I pressed the throttle it went slower. Managed to get back home in 1st crawling.
Not sure where to start with this. It was the 1st time it hit the roads at a decent speed. Going back and forth on a back road wasn’t enough speed to discover this issue.

leggattr
23-10-18, 02:41 PM
Also one thing that I have noticed is that the exhaust fumes are so strong in smell, I come out of the garage smelling if it. Makes your eyes water.

leggattr
25-11-18, 01:12 PM
So to update on this:

Basically it was a calamity of errors. On the 2nd test run the car felt better but still with a hesitant idle. Decided to keep it on the side roads in case of issues.
When I got to one of the more less maintained roads I hit a pot hole which ripped a bolt of of one of the lower gearbox mounts!!
So the thread being nackered on the body I picked up a re threading kit and repaired that.
Noticed a small water leak that just wouldn’t stop from the pump, probably had this off 15 times since it was built up due to numerous issues. The last time I thought this was fixed but probably had the belt slightly over tight.
Just had it idling in the garage, trying to improve the fluctuation in it and SNAP, the belt went!!
I couldn’t believe it after everything that happened. I turned it over by hand but wasn’t confident there wasn’t further damage.
Took it all apart again and the damage was
• 1 Bent exhaust valve
• 1 Bent Inlet Valve
• 1 snapped follower

I had oil on cylinders 2 and 3 which looked like it was coming from the gallery’s and checking the face of the head I wasn’t confident it was flat.
So since having it skimmed it turns out it was all over the place!! I didn’t even think to check it before hand but know probably answers the question why the fumes where so strong and may not have sealed correctly.
Both valves have been replaced and lapped in and I’ve replaced all the followers and thrust pads.
Just waiting for the last of the gaskets and head bolts to arrive and then can put it back together. The moisture in the air from the cold is a bit of an issue now tho!!
Fingers crossed it is a massive improvement to before.

Got the head bolted back on today along with the new followers and thrust pads. This is the 1st time I couldn’t source hex head bolts so I’ve had to resort to Erling torq ones. Also ordered a new timing belt cover from autovaux as I was worried about protection for the belt so just waiting for that to arrive before refuting that.
Still a few bits to go but plenty of time to do it.

So just working on the small list of niggling jobs with this before the RR.
First was the gear linkage. Not been happy with it from the start, so when I read through the rose joint thread it looked like I hadn’t adjusted the long bar enough (read it as 190mm from centre to centre of the cup joints?). Mine isn’t rose jointed but it never had a standard plastic rod when I got it with the car so went and bought the metal one. As I had nothing to compare it too I assumed it was screwed all the way in!.

Second job I still cannot figure out yet is the central locking. For some reason the solenoid engages the motor to lock but won’t unlock?? Any thoughts?

Third is my distributor. Around a month ago I replaced the cap with a new unbranded one (all the same really I thought), but I had been getting electric shocks from it!! This would make you jump alittle. Thought the gearbox earth strap may be bad but tested that and no change. I’ve just put the old one back on and it’s fine again.
Checked it in the dark with a torch for a hole but nothing there. Even saw a youtube video about checking for a spark leak in the dark but again nothing. Just guess it’s s cheap one.

Thats all for now

He said it could have been electrical, I did buy a new dizzy cap a few months back and every time I touched it I was being shocked, so put the old one back on. So strangest result from an MOT today. Got the call and told PASS wahoo after 3yrs and 4 months of building ( last Mot was in 07) but the tester wanted to speak about a few bits.
So 1st was a loose clip on a CV boot which has some leakage, which where fine as far as I’m aware but it’s 1st big runs was on the Dyno and to today’s mot.
2nd which is crazy was for some reason when the indicators go on left or right it’s flashing all of them!! So everything was replaced in the build including relay and this was fine before. This would fail the MOT but he said he was distracted and passed it by mistake!!
So bit of digging with the indicators now tho. One of the young mechanics came over and said it could be an earth issue at the rear so try running new/more earths and getting bare metel on the contact points, few friends one them and had similar issues.

leggattr
29-03-19, 04:51 PM
Fixed indicator issue, where I spliced in the signal from the alarm to flash indicators it sends the signal to both indicators when in use. I’ve disabled the flasher signal from the alarm for now. Not sure at the mo where to wire this in now tho.
Also can see a small grease leak so needs a new clip.

So had this running for a week and seems good, sadly been ill for the whole of this week so haven’t used it. Done some shopping tho. I noticed that most of the bulbs had gone on the dials so ordered up some LEDs. When I fitted them they didn’t work. It seems where they clamp into the plastic on the back of the dash that is the electrical contact, where it touches the pcp it has no electric going to that point!! I’ve just ordered some original ones with removable bulbs instead.
Even with the standard 501 bulb I tried swapping for a LED and it doesn’t work on the dash so can only assume it isn’t getting enough watts to power it? It did work straight off the battery tho.

Also had a window lifter switch fail on me just after I sold my spare but decided to buy a Corsa B one and soldered it to the Nova plug. Works great and even works in the right direction with the top button going up and bottom down. In the picture the Corsa one is on the right. Il be ordering another to make both operate the same.

So got the car to it’s first meet this week and met some of the locals and their cars.
I’ve finally managed to get some LED’s for the dash so their in and working. I’ve also converted the 2nd Corsa B window switch into the nova so now working in sync with the other.
when I was putting this back together I damaged the ignition barrel and had to use a different barrel meaning 2 keys, but thanks to the guys at the meet I never knew nor never tried to re keyed a barrel before!! Thought it would Need special tools and skills.
But 20 minutes later and I’m back to a single key for the hole car.
Still need to work out earth issues on the fuel sender and central locking and I’ve picked up an aftermarket tachometer as I’ve yet to discover what the Burnt out resister was on the Sri clocks.

Pretty happy with the new addition to the Nova, been looking for one of these for some time and this popped up on Facebook.
Looks like it’s chrome plated so means I now will probably need to do the oil cap and bolts to match.
Also been looking at the hoses to run from the block to rocker. Think il be going with a 90 degree reducer to get down to the correct size of the crankcase breather box.

So Friday and Saturday where planned to refit and line up the front bumper and sort the grill so it fits correctly.
My advice is to not buy aftermarket grills!! Tbf the surround is fine but it’s the soft plastic inner that’s pants, just not hard enough to push and clip into the front panel. I could probably do with a inner from an original. Anyway this is how I got it.

I’ve managed to remove a snapped thread from one of the bumper bar fixings that bolts into the drivers wheel arch, it only had 1 which left the bumper sitting wonky on that side. Should be finished hopefully tomorrow.

An absolute ass to get the bumper on again, sitting better but still not perfect on the drivers side. I think it’s an aftermarket one, no part numbers on it and the mount holes don’t line up correctly with the bar.

I think you have to accept it's very unlikely you'll ever get it perfect, I don't think I've ever had a Nova front bumper that has sat perfectly straight.

Na its just the age of the cars i think . They were still at a time were they weren't to arsed about panel gaps etc . Its head lights i can never get right lol they always look pissed .

I guess. Even in that picture the bonnet sits lower on the passenger side than the drivers. May be able to adjust that, or just being fussy.

My main problem now other than it lining up is the engine is running like a dog. The carb had loads of little black bits in it and in the carbs filter. I thought i cleaned out all the jets but it just didn’t have full power today. I don’t know if my NEW fuel line is perishing or it’s come from the foam Ramair filter as there’s signs of singeing from I think the odd run on when shutting down the engine. Think I need to take the carb off for fall clean again

Not a fan of those filters, look into the corsa mod with the little round airbox, pipe and filter instead.

Always run a clear inline fuel filter in the bay as easy way to visually check

Not sure it will fit the Weber tho without an adapter? I run a clear inline filter going to pump which looks clean. I’m more concerned the hose from the pump to carb is at at fault? It runs above the inlet so may get warm through use. The only way to explain the debris in the Weber filter.

So this has taken me just over a month to get running right again.
Changed the fuel pump, re routed the fuel lines to carb away from heat, through a filter king fpr and rebuilt carb adjusting the float gap.
Seems that the float/ fuel level could have been my problem.
My air filter is currently removed as I’m not sure if it’s starving air to the carb.
Heat generated from this block has always been high even tho the temp shows fine.
I’ve heat wrapped the down pipe today so hoping to see some improvements.
I’ve also fitted my new rocker cover and got some new hoses to link it to the breather separator. Plus the new vacuum hose to replace the recycled washer hose one I had.
Just need to polish the oil cap and replace the bolts.

So got some shiny bolts finally for the rocker cover and did a bit of polishing on the oil cap a few weeks back to clear the rust.

Also fitted 2 of the centre caps I have so far for these wheels. Need to find another pair but one of the wheels has a bloody snapped bolt in the centre cap bolt hole.

So thanks to Stuart aka H15 NVA he supplied me with a parcel shelf for my Nova.
It had holes cut into it for 6x9 speakers and I was just going to get some to fill the holes.
I decided that the ice isn’t high on my list of things so I reinforced the shelf by bonding some MDF on and I got some material samples to completely re trim the top and underneath.
These are the best 2 I’ve found so will probably go with them.
I also picked up some new rubber supports (not nova tho) so hopefully look original when it’s done.

Front end lowered today on the Spax shocks and springs, believe them to be 40mm. Hopefully these won’t rub on any large bumps. Just need to do the rear springs as I’m already running the shorter Spax dampers.

195/50? They look bigger!

I’ve actually got a load of material in the loft you could’ve had for the shelf, think it’s a pretty close match.
Or the offer of those 6x9s is still there.

So had been looking at a few other owners projects and really liked the look of the polished fearless front strut brace. I knew this would be very hard to get hold of.
What I did manage to find tho is this brand new sparco one. Very good price too.
I had one fitted to my last nova so I plan to go to town with the polishing to get this looking great.

So been doing lots and spending lots over the last few months.

Having taken some sound advice from Benn in terms of polishing to a high mirror finish.
I’m not quite at his standard yet but happy with what’s been done so far:

Also been adding to my window surround collection. Just need the passenger curve and bottoms for the front doors then a good set of rears.
These will all be rubbed back and sprayed eventually when I have them all.
What I do need to look into is the front door rubbers as I cannot picture what the Sr/Sri ones look like against the standard.

Had one in my 2nd nova and the wiring was dodgy but hoping to make a good job of this one. Have not tested it yet but looks in very good condition, hardly any scratches in the screen. Got it for a pretty good price considering what people are selling these for without wiring.

Decided to go down the washer bag route as I’ve only had a front washer plumbed in anyway. Allows me to start tidying the bay and doing some wire tucking.
Not sure if I’m gonna chop the bracket off tho, will see how reliable it works.

Yes mate all seems well, pulls away nicely and no sort of spluttering or bogging.
I think you will always want more from them after a while so I keep an eye out for fast road cams etc.
Annoyingly someone in your neck of the woods is selling on Facebook a blue Antibes carpet that’s perfect for this but not being very helpful regarding shipping. Wish I’d bought the one you had in this one now!!

So come home tonight to these. Basically got them for the price of postage. These if I’m not mistaken are the Corsa B option in grey. Seem to fit perfect on the front but the smallest of overlap on the rear which will be hidden.
Just need to flatten out and have a good clean.
