Has anyone any pics or advice. I need to do some welding around engine bay seams and especially just behind the passenger side front strut tower. I'll try put up some pics of my own and show the condition.
cheers

Usually accessible from under the arch.

You can access that area from the wheel arch, engine bay and inside of the car easily if the dash and wiring harness is out.

Go in from the top. Cut out what you can, clean it up and weld back in.

Take your bonnet off to make life easier. Quite a common seam to rot out..

It's a stripped out shell and gaining access is not a problem. It's more I'd just like to see examples of others that have carried out this

90% of people just wap on a plate from underneath or the top and think that's it sorted, the issue is that this point is where three panels meet, water gets into this area and rots from the inside out, so you have two options

botch it up

or

fix it right

Here's what we did in this area.

Cut it out from inside the wheel arch and then touched it up from inside the car aswell.

Will do mate , still taking the engine out and digging out the filler that the previous owner decided to use to bodge it at the moment
