Good Evening.

I'm hoping some of you might know a bit about these Mk.5 Astras? It's the H model I believe.

I've just bought one today, it's the 150bhp CDTi SRi model, it has a few niggles but it was pretty cheap and drives nicely, so I hope a good buy.

I've a few questions;

1. It's got a bit of knocking coming from the rear end, I have yet to investigate but are these prone to any specific issues with bushes/links etc.?

2. It has one of these CD30 head units; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301835830876?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT which I assume are shared with other Vauxhall models?

I'd like to replace the head unit with something along these lines; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262146711839?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT has anyone got experience of which are best? And do they work ok with the built-in computer and display screen etc.?

That's all I can think of for now, thanks in advance for any help.

All i can help with is iv never had any knocking from my rear end and owned mine 6years.iv only changed tyres pads a spring and droplinks.
on astra owners club there used to be a thread showing which ice was compatible.

Their prone to the back Spring snapping so might just be that.
