Which dizzy set up for carbs?

I'm replacing my 1.2 8v with a c16se engine on twin 40s.i have the 1.4 SR full dizzy set up which every one says is the best,first off all why is it the best and what's wrong with my 1.2 dizzy set up on carbs?

Ok. If you are removing a 12st carb engine, the cam to dizzy drive is wrong. The early ones had a slot drive and the later ones have a peg drive.

Ps. Where abouts are you and what are you doing with the old 1.2 engine?

sorry mowgli i should of said im putting a piper cam in and im sure it has both slot and pin drive,i live top side of north yorkshire and i cant decide what to do with 1.2 carb engine,i may keep it and put back in when time comes to sell,are the 1.2 carb engines wanted?

On eBay they are allegedly worth hundreds.....

If you are using a piper cam , then the 12st dizzy set up is fine
