as above... i've tried removing the rear interior trim and giving it a good whack, ive also tried getting inside the wheel arch and removing the fuel filler neck but i cant seem to get any leverage, is there a better way to do it or am i just not hitting hard enough

Take it too a bodyshop lol

that wouldnt be as fun :d
plus the car is in bits so i cant drive it anywhere

i'll try heating it up and a bit of 'light' persuasion,
never thought of heating it

TIG some washers on it and use a slide hammer

As above, but with pins to pull it out. But with that rust in there i'd fix that first.
As when you cut that out you'll prob get flat style dolly in there to pop it out.

pins are a pain in the tits without the right tool. i suggested washers as they're cheap, plentiful and you can make a simple slide hammer with a hook on the end which is easier to catch than a pin

That's a good point really.

I've seen it done with nuts. Weld the nut on, screw a bolt in and use a slide hammer on that. never tried that tho.

in fairness, none of the above is really worth it. sand back with a DA, a light skim of 'loy and use a sanding block to finish.

came to the conclusion that it will need some sort of welding, wether its just to pull it out or to replace a piece, otherwise it's going to need a lot of filler, so i gave it a quick wire wheel and a sand and found out there's already a fair bit of filler in there lol

and because i haven't got a welder i'll leave that til a later date... might give it a good wire wheeling tomorrow to see what its like

..
on another note.. what's the best way to tackle this?

not the best picture but i've given it a whack and tried bending it but cant get it to follow the shape of the light

Christ did a Rhino hump that hole?

All the shapes been lost, you could mask up a light, fit it then fill the panel over lapping the light. Then use the spreader to dip in the gap to make the shape.
Then pop the light out to reshape.
