A friend of mine is putting a BBR kit on his Mk1 MX5 as we speak, so I will find out more soon enough.

Those bbr kits look bloody expensive. Any idea how far along he is?
have a chat with this guy, i dont know him but i drive past his unit and he has tonnes of mx-5s and alot of highly tunned ones so must know his stuff??? http://www.5-speed.co.uk/where apperently from talking to the guy in the next unit he has a 500bhp one ??? ive seen a few go past the unit i do some work at and they are usually going sideways , (i dont talk to him as the guy i do work for hates the constant noise and cars screaming around lol )

He bought the kit secondhand a few days before Xmas, so I'm guessing he is not very far along yet. I think he paid around £1k for the kit.

A friend of a friend is doing one just now, picked up and rx7 engine at the weekend and he's doing a single turbo conversion so it will fit in. I think he also said they've to cut a bit from the bulk head also.

On youtube there is a video series called Mighty Car Mods about guys that modify cars, one of the projects is turbo charging a MX5. Think it is in Australia but it is ok and may be worth a watch and it is on a Euro spec MX5

I've seen some quite cool looking kit cars based around the mx5 I'd fancy something like that one day, as for the engine from what I've seen there are a few companies out there to cater for the mx5, the hap/drift seen is huge now, so a turbo or supercharger kit should be a straight forward mod
