Looking to rwd a c20xe, just looking to see what other conversions there are rather than the type 9 and the mt75, was looking to see if a mx5 box would fit with a conversion plate? If so where could i get a adapter plate for it?
Nothing else will be as simple as a T9
the bolting the box to the engine is easily converted using mx or rx boxes but input shaft length is your issue, most jap boxes need a sleeved extension to be made and fitted, some thrust bearing throw issues can pop up too depending on the box used

Omega will bolt on, t9 is ok but don't like a lot over 200 hp mt75 is a bit better. T5 is nice and strong but expensive. Maybe rx8 box with a conversion plate
Rx8 6 speed is my choice, got one sitting but no cash to get it cut and welded to fit just yet

If you were to use the omega box and rear set up, is there any way you could then also convert from 5 stud to 4? If anyone knows of a way to machine to fit? Its for a oval hot rod, and ideally would like to keep 4 studs all round rather that having 5s on the back then 4s on the front.

May be easier to have adaptors made

Or convert the fronts to five stud as well
Depending on what power you're after a r25/r28 omega box is cheapest option.
Type 9 is ok but requires a bell housing, t5 is costly, very strong but no good on a screaming nasp engine.
I've seen the rx8 plates for sale on eBay, the boxes are supposed to be ok
