Got radiator water leaking in the footwell on both sides

mk1 nova with 2.0 xe twin webers
Was out having a little play lastnight when water started leaking in the footwell, no signs of water or pipes burst under bonnet everywhere dry.
I'm thinking something to do with heater matrix.
What to do next and is next job dash out? Any help would be great thanks

Lost any coolant from the expansion tank?
If not take the two under dash shelves out and stick your head under there. Have a look with a torch as Nova's like to rust in the corners there.

You can take the matrix out without removing the dash - a few screws will see the bottom part of the main heater box come off and that's how you access the matrix... it'll be full of water by the sounds of it!
