Sweet, thank you very much. People have told me different answers, so I needed to be sure.

Only modern cars have different filler necks as you can put diesel in a petrol nova and vice versa lol

Other than the fact that I hope that Edd either doesn't have kids or plans on not having any, I thank you all for your input. On an unrelated subject, are Corsa B rear axles compatible with Nova's? Because mine might need a little bit of a refurb..

At school today, got the thing hoisted up, and well, it's an eye opener. I knew I needed to fix the rear springs, but I didn't think it was that bad. So, a theory is, the fact they welded spacers between the rear beam and the springs is due to the fact that maybe the shocks are a bit taller than they should be, so they're there to stop the thing bottoming out. So maybe I might fit (if it fits) a Corsa B rear axle (because my teacher has one his son used to have and is willing to give it to me for free) and then mount everything up again and all is well, but if not, I'll get new shocks and springs for the rear and just fit everything from there. I found a set of new Lowtec coilovers for a Nova for around 155 pound. I'm not gonna go racing with it, but, they're new shocks front and rear and lowering springs already attached, so it's not that bad of a deal considering, as well as needing to buy front stabilizer bushes that will fit (was told there's a special tool for them, and usually you need to buy the whole thingamajig that the bush goes through. So I might just buy the 2 piece poly bushes with a 14mm inside diameter and go from there.) Not to mention the fact that the car was crashed at one point and they welded the subframe a little far back where the alternator touches the subframe. So, that's a lot to take in, really.

They are different. Get a decent welder to sort it. It'll be big money to get a used one shipped over to you

Corsa beam different.

Get cheapy coilovers your car needs lowering anyway (see spotted thread)

The rear beam on my mk2 split at the arm from hub to the pivot point

I'm 21, almost 22. I lived in Canada for some time, finished highschool and was unable to attend post secondary due to us waiting for permanent residence. When that didn't go through, we had to come back to Malta, I worked for a year and then started going to a trade school for mechanics.

And the fucking car seems to be fucking up again. When I start it, there's a really strange noise until I rev it ever so slightly then it goes away, and as I was driving to my mates house today, I noticed that when the gas pedal is down, the engine temp gauge was going haywire. It went from on the blue to at mid heat in about 10 seconds.
