1400 8v rally engine with twin 40s - multiple class winner

I have for sale my 1400cc 8v multiple class winning rally engine. Was £800 collected. Now £700 collected.

It uses a 1400 bottom end, decked to raise compression
1300 big valve head
Kent AST17 cam with solid lifters
1400 (190mm) flywheel
Twin 40s on Manifold
Dizzy

Comes as a complete engine with coil, starter, alternator, air filter etc. Exhaust Manifold is to fit a Mk2 Astra so wont come with it as no good for a Nova etc..

Its for sale as Im moving to a 1600 16v engine on TBs and ECU. Its been an excellent engine and if it doesnt make decent money then I will rebuild and keep it as a spare. It does need a full strip and rebuild but was running until we stripped the gearbox out 5 weeks ago. Will also come with a box of spares - things like gaskets, spare starter, spare alternator etc.

What sort of power was/is this making out of interest? Thanks.

Deposit taken in December but seller never recontacted or turned up so back up for sale.

It was making 130bhp when originally built and jetted at PRP in Lincoln and then redone at Pete Burgess Alfreton with similar numbers a year or so later.

Going to offset the deposit money against this sale price so new sale price of £700 for the complete engine / carbs / etc as is but without Exhaust Manifold as its for an Astra Mk2..
