Right where do I begin,
after driving dirty diesels for a year i got bored ha ha ha ha so saw this shed on facebook and done a 450 mile round trip

it wernt the best example there where a few holes in the floor etc wanted a sill but was fast as fuck and ran alright so it was worth the money i paid even if i broke it at the end of the day

it was a no brainier, i prefer novas and the nova is far better conversion etc so the swap was done and ended up with a nicer car :)

where he had stripped the back out and had no weight in it in switched ends on him and hit the kerb so 1st things 1st was to find out what was bent and get it all tracked up
on closer inspection the passenger bottom ball joint was bent

so i treated it to 2 new bottom ball joints, 2 new track rod ends and new passenger bottom arm

2 things. Arnt the bolt holes in the balls join offset anyway? Sure they are.
And in your wheel arch shot, there is a seam by the lower arm, i'd weld that up. That's the only one i've seen spilt apart.
And there is a big seem down the inner arch/ bit. I'd weld that one up too.

But liking the rest as you know.

it had a few of the plates welded in and a few seams done so mite end up dropping engine to tidy loom up etc so will go round then

if u look it curves and should be straight and the wheel was noticeably back in the arch

after driving it about for a few weeks i decided the brakes where a good a think they should be on a let so got my wilwood 4 pots outs and braided hoses and fitted them
after fitting them i found my race lines touch the calipers slighty so will have to fit some 5mm spacers, so i put my rainsports on the fanblades and fitted them for the time being

ive been having a few running issues and found one big problem with the wiring so purchased another engine loom and gonna start again and stick all the ecu in the car etc

now im upto date,
i blew the diff up last night so got my spare gearbox out fitted with a quaife atb but on closer inspection i have to pull the box apart as was prevoisly in a drag car and they blanked the speedo off

Want me to send you two bolts for your bottom pulley? On the Servo, pop the rubber gasket out ohe the middle and give it a good clean (and the hole) as that's where they leak from...

The 2 holes don't line up?? Haven't looked at it tbh think it mite need a better quality pulley

and thanks for the advise on the servo I'll give it a go :)

Try taking the bottom pulley off and turning it I thought the same about mine but the holes are offset and do line up once in the right place

the gearbox is virtually new inside looks like it had a recent rebuild and made sure the quaife was fitted so all back together ready to be fitted

suppose i better update this again
ive been having threw running issues with, being hesitant from cold and high idle and one day didnt even want to run atall which i suspected the loom to be at fault so sourced another

then all of a sudden it started idling at 3000rpm and then barely running, so throught i would clean out the idle control value and stopped that problem but still had the orignal fault

when i got the car off my m8 the previous owner had supposedly recently replaced the coolant temp sensor, so i thorought i would check if a decent one was used, think it mite of been new 20 years ago

so that fixed the problem, while i had the air filter off i noticed it wernt much cope and decided to clean the air flow meter out a bit and fitted a new ram air filter

I would reckon it's gonna be quite hard to tame it whatever tyres!! You could try R888's on the front, they are rated wet grip B which is pretty good!!! the spinning up would at-least get some heat in them!!!

Think I'm gonna stick with these till I've burnt threw em then decide what to go for ha ha don't mind these as there dirt cheap really for what they are,
i have got a set of nankang ns2r 120 tread wear in the garage to try out but I expect they will do the same lol lol lol

starting having oil pressure problems and engine dont sound to clever but it hasn't been running long with pressure light on and only idle not driven so hopefully haven't done any damage.
so suspect the pump as failed so purchased

If the pressures dropped and you heard it (as in you heard a knock) you will have damaged the big ends... At least! Also your turbo wouldn't have been to happy, so that's probably has an upcoming expiry date too lol

Only heard tappets taping bit more, and was only on idle so switched off straight away

Im with will on this.I suspect more damage will be done.for peace of mind id be dropping the sump and checking the big ends clearances and condition.

That's the plan as sumps Gotta come off to fit pump so end are coming off to check, and if there fine I'll fit new pump etc

I fitted the zlet pump to mine when I fitted the engine,I also fitted the z20let restrict or bolt to the turbo as the pressure is slightly higher

My pump it doesn't look like the oil cooler sandwich plate comes off, yet you've clearly does... Wonder if there are two types.

Just unscrew the central threaded adapter (you will probably damage it) and discard it, the thread in the oil pump housing is the same as the original oil pump so the original sandwich plate will bolt on using the standard adapter.

They are all cast the same
Like I said remove the threaded adapter and use the original CLET sandwich plate that the oil cooler pipes with the CLET adapter with a new 'o' ring, when using an oil cooler.
You might have a pump with an angled aluminium adapter, undo the oil filter adapter, behind that is a second adapter bolt which clamps the two together with an 'o' ring seal.

Hhmm i'd had mine in bits. Took out the threaded bit the filter screws too (which is different to the Clet one as its a thread on a big plate you have to undo, its like a 23mm iirc) Took that off and then nothing.. Nothing else to take off or remove.
Looked at the casing and cause see anywhere it would come apart either...

Behind that plate is an adapter which takes a 14mm A/F (?) allen key, undo that and they should separate.
Post a picture of it.

probley gonna keep the drivers side one as plan on combining the corsa pedal bit with most of the nova one for added extra strength to reduce flex in the bulkhead

Looking good dude, in the wheel arch, i'd weld the seams around the turret up too.
And in this pic, in the red bit, have the yellow marked seems been welded? I can't tell, but i would weld them, as they hold the arm in so take alot of stress.

well i went to the workshop today and we managed to start the intercooler cut out but just got to cold so retreated back home to the warm ha ha ha

managed to get myself a 2.7 turn corsa steering rack to so ill clean that up and give it a lick of paint and get some nova track rods fitted while im at work during the week

Just to sort a few things
1- the car is still a 1.2 on the log book
2- it's always been insured as what is it with all mods declared
3- pretty sure I need a engineers report to change log book hence why I'm spending a lot of time and money making sure car is capable of taking the power and there no wiring Bodges and cars strengthened correctly
4- it hasn't been on road since start of December as its been broke and couldn't be asked with it

Sorry ha ha I primed it then I mite be moving it and leaving it outside with a cover over it so the blacks there to seal the primer so all the hard work don't go to waste, as I plan on buying a roll over split and strip and seam weld underneath and rest of inside

not sure on colour yet, and few ideas so just watch this space
