Loon up the brand and model, let the air out and see if the sidewall is still firm and straight?

They normally have RFT logo on the side wall mate

What vehicle, and what tyres? Usually you need to be looking are large high spec executive cars to find run flats fitted.

Merc bmw and minis all have them. I think they have been fitting them for at least 10 years now.

There will be a star on the sidewalls iirc... well the runflats on my very LOW end LOW spec small BMW has those markings lol

First thing i did when i got my BMW was take them straight off, good idea in principle but utter crap to drive on.

didn't think they were any better or worse.... OK I wouldn't put them on as replacement due to cost, but wouldn't take them off till they hit the canvass

They are just too hard and they love to crack an alloy as well, you have to have super soft suspension to get away with using them and m-sport suspension is far from soft. Plus as you say they are a lot more expensive to replace.

My mums Mini has RF on the side wall.
