has anyone done this
its been done on the lms nova in total Vauxhall the other month
I m thinking it may work using a golf radiator:confused:

A custom rad would be best/easier.

Im sure ive seen people using a AX rad too, simple enough really, its just moving the pipes.

saxo and 106's both use a all in one expansion/radiator.

Would it be enough to cool a xe engine. Saxo/106 rads are fairly thin I think

I thought the whole point of having the expansion bottle in the OE position was because the radiator is lower than the top of the water jacket in the head?

Is it tho? Surely the highest water way is the stat, which is just inline with the top of the rad. So if the cap is above that it should be ok?

But yes air locks could be a issues with this kinda swap.

I would have to look, in GTE's the water cooled TB is certainly the highest point, as will some of the manifold tappings be.
