The bastard things are really ticking me off now.

First, the plastic cup joint thing on the diver side wiper was knackered, so it never worked. I got that fixed. Now the bloody plastic nut that holds everything in place won't stay tight all the time. You tighten it down as far as it goes before it undoes itself again, and after you use the wipers for a bit it starts to loosen again.

What can I do to hold it in place? I'm thinking of using super glue/sealer/teflon tape to hold it in place. Suggestions?

try lube between the metal spline and the mount. its probably so stiff that its turning the mount as the spline/wiper moves.

It isn't. I've checked for that, but I'll give it a go nonetheless.

Im sure there is a tab on the mount that fits in the slot on the metal hole to stop it turning. has that sheared of?

I think it may have. I'll check later tonight.

But it's not that that's the problem. It's the plastic nut that goes on that. Then the wiper itself, and then the metal nut that holds everything together.

Drill a hole and stick a bolt through the nut and put a nylock nut on the other end.

Or use glue.

I think I'll use glue for that. Something that holds down. Sealer I think will be silly. Would hot glue do the job well?

No more nails, can you get that on Malta? Something like that may be a temporary fix. Or just get two lengths of all weather rope, attach to wipers and get a mate to pull them for you.

Oh you muppet.

I put on some Impact glue. Hopefully it'll do the job. If not, I'll buy the same size nut but in metal instead.

I figured you're not sorry lol hopefully it'll hold now. If not, metal nut it is then. Or I'll buy threadlock.
