hi there, im new to this forum n looking for abit of advise
currently looking to purchase my first redtop nova (if I can find 1 I'm happy with) I would prefer a runner with minimal mods to the body work. can any1 recommend a site to keep an eye out for 1? I've seen a couple local (Kent) with all parts the but not running are they an easy fix or best stay away? a lad offered me he's mk1 but needed the ignition wired up for the redtop. he's happy to swap for a another motor I have that only coast me £750 so I'm tempted.

cheers reading

Depending on spec £750 not a bad price for an Xe nova project I've paid that much before

£750 is a bargain tbh proving it's not a absolute rust bucket, novas seem to be flying up in price, especially converted ones as they are pretty rare now. Wiring the ignition in sholdnt be a problem if you know what your doing. It's a old engine into a old car so pretty basic compared to newer stuff. Plenty of people willing to help on here that have done it a thousand times if you get stuck, just need to ask.

Do it, just for the love of god keep it somewhere dry during the winter! Last Nova I had it took one winter to turn small bodywork issues into big issues!

They don't like getting wet.

i was luck enough to pick up a red top nova last night. I felt like a teen again driving it home , I couldn't get the smile of my face lol. just what I wanted cheap, pretty standard out side but the in side needs sorting. but the other nova is still really tempting now I know I could get it running with a bit of help. here's a list of mods I was told it had on R they any good? also is there any upgrades I should make sure the novas got as its running a red top?
It's got gaz front coilovers, unknown make rear coilovers, predator spoiler, rear disk conversion, Redtop, power boost valve, power cap, induction kit, full stainless steel powerflow exhaust system, solid engine mounts
