Has anyone put one of the A14NET 1.4 Astra petrol turbo engines in a nova yet?
Would have thought that 140bhp as standard and 170+bhp on a remap in a small light package would be tempting?
From what I can see they are similar to other small block Vauxhall engines, does anybody know if the mounting points are the same?
I'd imagine the basics of fitting would be the same. Depends on what gearbox they are meted to though, as I believe that many are simply M32's which are a pig to mount, but would probably mate upto an F20/F23 etc.
The smallest big challenge would be the engine management as it will require a load of CAN (not CAN-BUS before someone gets it wrong) data from other modules to work, along with the immobiliser. Obviously the easiest route is stand alone.

I think for the effort a 1.6 turbo as fitted to a Corsa VXR would be better and more tuning potential. The mountings will be the same.

Had a better look last night, looks like the mountings are very different due to position of turbo so not a straight swap, agree the 1.6 would be the best bet if you were to go to the hassle.

1.6 turbo would be my first choice
